Whiskers and the Wobbly Blanket

Whiskers was a cloud-soft cat with eyes like emeralds. She loved sunny naps and chasing butterflies in the garden.

One morning, a new sound floated through the air. A soft coo, then a tiny sigh. Whiskers twitched her delicate ears.

She padded quietly outside, her paws barely touching the grass. The sound led her to the old stone garden wall.

There, nestled safely in a yellow carrier on the wall, was baby Lily! Lily had big blue eyes and a wobbly smile.

Lily’s grown-ups were busy inside, making a special lunch. They thought Lily was happy watching the fluffy clouds.

But a little breeze picked up, and Lily’s favorite soft blanket began to slide. It drifted slowly down, down, down.

Lily’s happy coos turned into a tiny whimper. Her blue eyes filled with tears. She wanted her cozy blanket back!

Whiskers saw everything. Her emerald eyes grew wide. Lily was sad, and Whiskers knew just how that felt.

The wall was too high for Whiskers to jump. Lily was too little to reach. How could she help her new friend?

Whiskers spotted a long, sturdy vine climbing up the wall. It had strong, leafy branches, perfect for a climb.

Carefully, Whiskers began to climb. Her soft paws found every tiny crevice. Up, up, she went, a white fluffball on the green.

Lily watched, her whimpers quieting. Her big blue eyes followed Whiskers’ every careful step. A tiny smile returned.

Finally, Whiskers reached the top! She peered into the carrier. Lily giggled, reaching out a chubby hand.
