Uma was a tiny hummingbird. Her green feathers shimmered like jewels. She loved her beautiful garden.
Uma loved to paint flowers best. Today, she would paint every single one! Her tiny brush was ready.
But then, the sky grew dark. A rumble echoed in the air. Wind whispered through the leaves.
"Oh no!" chirped Uma, worried. Hard, cold stones began to fall. *Whizz-thump! Whizz-thump!* went the hail.
Uma quickly hid in her cozy home. She watched the storm rage outside. Her beautiful garden was shaking!
At last, the storm stopped. Uma flew out, very slowly. Her lovely flowers were all gone.
Broken stems lay on the ground. Her colorful painting dream was shattered. Uma felt so very, very sad.
She sighed a tiny, quiet sigh. "I cannot paint anymore," she thought. Her little brush felt heavy now.
Then, something tiny caught her eye. Little green tips pushed through the dirt. Small sprouts reached for the warm sun.
