Meet Ollie, a fluffy barn owl, perched high in a grand oak tree. His forest was green and full of life.
Far, far away, lived Penelope, a playful Adélie penguin. Her home was a sparkling iceberg, surrounded by icy blue sea.
Ollie and Penelope were pen pals! They sent letters across the world, sharing stories and drawings.
One day, Ollie saw something strange. Big machines arrived, and trees began to fall. *Thump! Crash!*
His beautiful forest, once so green, now had sad, empty patches. Many animal friends looked worried.
Ollie quickly wrote to Penelope. "My home is changing," he scribbled. "It feels less safe."
Meanwhile, Penelope noticed changes too. Her magnificent iceberg was cracking. *Creak! Splash!*
Puddles grew bigger, and her cozy ice cave felt less sturdy. Her penguin friends huddled closer.
Penelope wrote back to Ollie. "My home is melting," she explained. "It feels less strong."
Ollie read Penelope's letter. Their homes were both in trouble! They needed to do something.
"I'll draw pictures of my forest," Ollie decided. "Everyone can see what is happening!"
Penelope agreed. "I'll share your letters and my stories with all the penguins!"
Ollie showed his drawings to the squirrels, rabbits, and deer. They gasped at the sad pictures.
Penelope told her community about Ollie’s forest and her melting iceberg. They listened carefully.
