Ayesha loved exploring. One sunny morning, she found something extraordinary under a giant sunflower: a tiny feather, shimmering with all the colours of the rainbow! It felt warm in her hand.

"Hello, Mittens," Ayesha whispered to her cat. "What are you thinking?" Mittens blinked slowly, then yawned a very wide, very loud yawn. "Fish," she seemed to say, "always fish." Ayesha gasped!

The feather! It must be magic! She could understand animals! Ayesha giggled. This was going to be the silliest, most exciting day ever. Her garden suddenly felt full of secrets.

Into the Whispering Woods she skipped. Soon, a tiny, high-pitched voice squeaked, "Oh dear, oh dear, where did they go?" A small grey squirrel, Squeaky, peeked from behind a tree.

"What's wrong, Squeaky?" Ayesha asked gently. Squeaky wrung his paws. "My acorns! My precious, crunchy acorns! I hid them so well, I can't remember where!" he chittered nervously.

"Tell me where you hid them," Ayesha offered. Squeaky pointed a wobbly paw. "Well, it was near the wiggly root, by the bumpy rock, next to the tree that looks like... a grumpy old man!"

Ayesha looked around. There were many wiggly roots, bumpy rocks, and quite a few trees that looked like grumpy old men! Squeaky looked more flustered than ever. "Oh, bother!"

They searched high and low. They looked under giant toadstools and behind sleepy snails. Squeaky even tried to sniff them out, but he just sneezed loudly, startling a family of ladybugs.

Then, Ayesha spotted a hollow log. A tiny rabbit poked its nose out, munching happily. "Is that... an acorn?" she whispered. Squeaky gasped! "My special, extra-crunchy acorn!"

The rabbit, startled, dropped a few acorns and zoomed away! Squeaky scurried, gathering his treasures. "Oh, thank you, thank you!" he chattered, his tail swishing with joy. "You're a super acorn-finder!"

With Squeaky happily munching, Ayesha continued her adventure. The feather behind her ear glowed a little brighter. She felt a warm, bubbly feeling inside.

Soon, she heard a low grumble. "My berries! All mine!" A grumpy badger, Barnaby, sat guarding a huge patch of juicy, red berries. He looked very cross indeed.

"Hello, Barnaby," Ayesha said cheerfully. Barnaby just grunted. "Are those delicious berries?" she asked. "Mine!" he growled, clutching his tiny, rusty trowel. "No sharing!"

Ayesha tried to explain that sharing could be fun. Barnaby just shook his head. "More for me!" he mumbled, popping a berry into his mouth. "Sharing means less for Barnaby!"
