Penny the penguin lived in chilly Antarctica. Her soft blue scarf kept her warm and cozy.
Other penguins zoomed and twirled on the shiny, smooth ice. They laughed and played.
Penny watched them from afar. She wished she could skate like that.
Suddenly, a bright, shiny penguin glided near. It was Carlos!
"Hello, Penny," Carlos smiled. "Would you like to try skating?"
Penny wobbled on the slippery ice. Her tiny feet felt like jelly.
*WHOOSH!* Down she tumbled. Penny felt her heart sink low.
"It's okay," Carlos said gently. "Everyone falls. Try again, slowly."
Penny took a deep breath. She stood up. One tiny slide.
Day after day, they practiced. Slide, wobble, then slide again.
