The Mystery of the Missing Bow

Hi! My name is Jessica. This is my very best friend, Charlotte. She is super cute, and we always have the most fun together at school.

Charlotte has beautiful black hair, always tied in tiny, perfect braids. She can play her violin, and the music sounds absolutely wonderful.

Every day at school, we play so many exciting games together. We share secrets and giggle during lunch, then race outside to the playground.

Recently, we learned a brand-new skill: super-duper somersaults! We tumble and roll, feeling like secret acrobats. It’s our favorite thing!

But one sunny morning, Charlotte looked very, very sad. Her special, shiny violin bow was not in its case. It was gone!

"Oh no!" I gasped. "Where could it be, Charlotte? Don't worry, we will find it! Let's think like super detectives!"

Charlotte remembered, "Yesterday, I saw a sparkly red ribbon near the music corner, right after my practice." A clue!

We tiptoed quietly to the music corner. No bow, but tucked behind a music book, we found a tiny, folded paper note!

I carefully opened the note. It had a drawing of bright colors. The riddle read: "Where colors shine, and stories grow?"

"Colors shine... stories grow..." I thought hard. "I know! It must be the Art Room! Let's go investigate there!"

We peeked into the Art Room. It was a rainbow explosion! Paint pots and brushes were scattered, and paintings dried on lines.

Under a big, colorful painting of a happy dog, we found another clue! It was a small, shiny blue button.

"Aha!" I whispered. "This button looks just like the ones on Miss Lily's favorite blue cardigan! She must know something!"
