Two Sherpa children, one adventurous and one cautious, must combine their unique strengths to rescue a trapped snow leopard from a dangerous crevasse in the mighty Himalayas.

📖 Read the Story

High in the mighty Himalayas, lived Baba and Nima. Their village nestled among towering, snowy peaks.

Baba, with his bright red hat and rosy cheeks, loved to explore. He was brave and always ready for adventure!

Nima, with her neat braids and calm eyes, preferred quiet moments. She thought carefully before every step.

One crisp morning, they set out. Baba bounded ahead, while Nima watched the path, humming a gentle tune.

Suddenly, a low growl echoed from a deep crevasse. Baba peered over the edge, his heart thumping.

"Look, Nima!" he whispered. "A snow leopard!" Trapped deep inside, its beautiful spotted fur shimmered.

The leopard looked scared, its emerald eyes wide. It tried to climb, but the icy walls were too steep.

"We must help it!" Baba declared, already searching for a way down. He was ready to leap.

"Wait, Baba," Nima said softly. "It's too dangerous. We need a plan. The ice is slippery."

Nima looked around. "We need something strong to pull it up. And something soft for it to hold."

"My climbing rope!" Baba exclaimed, remembering his sturdy yak-hair rope. "And my warm blanket!"

Nima carefully tied a loop in the rope. "We'll lower the blanket first. It will feel safe."

Baba, strong and steady, held the rope. Nima gently lowered the soft, colourful blanket towards the leopard.

The snow leopard sniffed the blanket, then carefully stepped onto it. It looked up at them with hopeful eyes.
