Maggie adored drawing more than anything. Her little room was a rainbow of her creations, from soaring dragons to smiling sunflowers. She always carried her trusty box of crayons.
One sunny morning, as Maggie sketched a tiny butterfly, her favorite crayon shimmered. A soft, warm glow pulsed from its tip, making her gasp with wonder.
She drew a small, blue butterfly. As her crayon moved, the paper butterfly's wings gently fluttered. Then, with a soft *whoosh*, it lifted right off the page!
The little butterfly danced in the air! Maggie giggled, her heart thumping with excitement. Her drawings were coming to life! What an amazing, magical secret.
Later, peeking into her garden, Maggie spotted a wobbly caterpillar. It wanted to reach a juicy leaf, but a big puddle blocked its way. "Oh dear," she whispered.
The little caterpillar looked so sad and stuck. Maggie knew just what to do! She carefully chose her sturdy brown crayon and her bright blue one.
With swift, careful strokes, Maggie drew a little wooden bridge right over the puddle. Splish, splash! The drawn planks became real, sturdy wood.
The wobbly caterpillar slowly, carefully, crossed the brand-new bridge! It reached the leaf and munched happily. Maggie felt a warm, happy flutter inside.
Walking through her neighborhood, Maggie noticed the sky was a dull, grumpy grey. All the children playing outside looked a little sad. No sunshine today.
"A perfect day for a bright idea!" she thought. She pulled out her sunniest, happiest yellow crayon. It practically hummed with cheerful energy in her hand.
Maggie held her drawing pad high and drew a huge, smiling sun right onto the grey sky. Slowly, the clouds began to swirl and part, revealing a golden glow.
Soon, the real sun beamed down, warm and bright! Laughter filled the park as children played again. Maggie’s heart felt as sunny as the sky.
Further along, she saw Mrs. Gable looking worried. "Oh dear," Mrs. Gable sighed. "My little kitten, Mittens, is stuck high in that big oak tree!"
Maggie looked at the tall tree and the tiny, scared kitten. She knew she couldn't climb that high. But her crayons could certainly help!
