Little Jessica hummed a happy tune. Today was a special day! Her mom had promised a trip to the bustling shops. Jessica’s blue eyes sparkled with excitement, imagining all the wonderful things they might see.
"Ready for an adventure, sweetie?" Mom asked, squeezing Jessica's hand. Jessica nodded vigorously, her blonde pigtails bouncing. The air felt crisp and cool, perfect for exploring.
Soon, they arrived! The shops were alive with twinkling lights and cheerful music. Giant banners fluttered, proclaiming "Black Friday Deals!" Jessica had never seen so many people.
"Wow!" Jessica gasped, pulling Mom towards a window. There, a magnificent, fluffy unicorn with a rainbow mane stood proudly. A big red sign screamed, "Half Price! Black Friday Deal!"
Jessica had dreamed of a unicorn just like that! Her heart fluttered. "Mom, look! It's so big and soft!" She imagined riding it through her dreams every night.
Next, they peeked into a cozy bookshop. Piles of books reached high to the ceiling. On a special table, a huge storybook with shimmering gold pages caught her eye. "Amazing Deal!"
“A book of a thousand tales!” Jessica whispered. She pictured herself curled up, turning each beautiful page, lost in magical worlds. It looked even better than the unicorn.
Further on, a craft store burst with color. Jessica spotted a giant art kit, brimming with paints, brushes, and glitter. “Black Friday Special!” another sign declared.
“I could paint a whole new world!” she thought, her fingers twitching with creative energy. So many wonderful things, all with exciting red signs! How could she choose?
Jessica felt a little dizzy. So many amazing deals! Her head spun with unicorns, storybooks, and paintbrushes. She wanted everything, but her small hands felt empty.
Then, something else caught her eye. Not a deal, not a bright sign. On a quiet bench, near a donation box for children's toys, sat a small, slightly worn teddy bear.
The teddy bear looked a little sad and lonely. It wasn't new or shiny, and it certainly wasn't a "deal." But Jessica felt a soft tug in her heart.
"Mom," Jessica said quietly, pointing. "That bear looks like it needs a friend." Mom smiled, a warm, understanding smile. She waited for Jessica to speak again.
Mom gently guided Jessica to a different kind of shop. It was smaller, with no flashing signs, but filled with beautiful, unique toys. “Let's see what treasures are here,” Mom suggested.
