Willow the squirrel loved autumn days. Her fluffy tail twitched with joy. A big pile of colorful leaves waited.
Little Acorn, her brother, loved them too. He held his smooth pebble tight. Willow spied the shiniest red leaf.
"Mine!" chirped Willow, reaching out. Acorn saw a crinkly yellow one. "No, mine!" he squeaked loudly.
They both grabbed at once. Leaves flew up in the air! A little leaf squabble began. "Hey!" "Stop!"
High above, Dad Squirrel watched. He sat on a sturdy branch. He saw his little squirrels struggling.
Dad Squirrel hopped down softly. "Hello, my little leaf collectors!" he said. "Shall we play a new game?"
"It's called 'Leaf Architect!'" Dad explained. "We will build the tallest, most colorful leaf tower ever."
Willow carefully stacked her shiny red leaves. Acorn piled his crinkly yellow ones. Two small, separate towers grew.
Wobble, wobble! Crash! Both little leaf towers tumbled down. Willow sighed sadly. Acorn pouted.
Dad Squirrel smiled gently. "What if we try different leaves together?" he asked. "Maybe a strong, wide base?"
