Pip, a tiny mouse with bright, curious eyes, lived in a cozy nook. His best friend was Squeaky, a thoughtful mouse with soft grey fur.
Every morning, they had a very important job: collecting crumbs from the giant kitchen floor.
"Oh, Pip," sighed Squeaky. "It's always the same. Crumbs, crumbs, crumbs." Pip's whiskers twitched. He had an idea!
"Squeaky!" Pip whispered, "What if this isn't a floor? What if it's the Great Crumb Desert?"
"And those crumbs?" Pip continued, "They're not just crumbs! They're ancient, sparkling artifacts!"
Squeaky giggled. "A desert? With treasures?" Her imagination began to bloom.
"And our dustpan!" Pip declared, "It's not a dustpan. It's the Mighty Excavation Vehicle!"
They climbed aboard their vehicle. "First stop," Pip announced, "The Crumbling Pyramid of Toast!"
Squeaky spotted a shiny sugar crystal. "A glittering gem!" she squeaked. Pip carefully scooped it up.
"Watch out!" Squeaky warned. "A sticky tar pit!" She pointed to a spilled drop of jam.
