Jessica and Luna were best friends. They met in kindergarten and were always together.

Every morning, they built tall block castles. Jessica added flags, while Luna made tiny windows.

They drew big, bright pictures. Jessica loved drawing giant, smiling suns. Luna drew delicate, sparkling flowers.

Handicrafts were so much fun! They made glittery stars and wiggly-eyed monsters.

They sang silly songs and danced like wobbly jelly. Their giggles filled the happy room.

One sunny morning, Ms. Lily announced a special project: "Our Friendship Mural!"

Jessica imagined a giant, zooming rocket. "It will fly to the moon!" she exclaimed.

Luna pictured a field of tiny, colorful butterflies. "They will flutter softly," she whispered.

Jessica started her big rocket. *WHOOSH!* She painted a bold, red streak across the paper.

Luna carefully added a tiny blue butterfly. *SWISH!* Jessica's arm accidentally smudged it.

Jessica looked at her big rocket. It felt a little lonely flying all by itself.

Luna looked at her smudged butterfly. She missed Jessica's happy chatter.

Ms. Lily smiled gently. "Different ideas can make the most beautiful things," she said softly.

Jessica had an idea! "What if the rocket flies over your butterfly field?" she asked.
