The Case of the Sparkly Art Bag

Alison loved her sparkly art bag! It held all her favorite crayons and glitter pens. Today, she was drawing a big, happy rainbow.

"Oh no!" Alison gasped. She looked everywhere. Her special sparkly art bag was gone! Where could it be?

She searched under her bed, behind her easel, and in her toy box. No sparkly bag! Alison felt a little teary.

"Faith!" she called, her voice wobbly. "My sparkly art bag is missing! I can’t find it anywhere!"

Faith, Alison's older sister, walked in. "What's wrong, little sis?" she asked gently. Alison looked so sad.

"My beautiful, sparkly art bag!" Alison wailed. "It has all my best colors! It just disappeared!"

Faith thought for a moment. "Hmm," she said. "Where did you last see it, Alison? Try to remember."

Alison squeezed her eyes shut. "I was drawing... I remember drawing a big, green tree. Then I had a snack."

Faith stands up, holding Alison's hand. She points towards the door of the bedroom. Her expression is encouraging.

"Here!" Alison exclaimed, pointing to the comfy blue sofa. "I drew the tree right here!"

Faith looked closely. "Look!" she whispered, pointing. "A red crayon! A clue from your art bag!"

"After drawing, I was hungry!" Alison giggled. "I came to the kitchen for a yummy cookie!"

Faith's eyes sparkled. "And look here!" she said, pointing to the floor. "Tiny, sparkly glitter! More clues!"
