Leo loved to draw. His small, nimble fingers filled sketchbooks with wonderful worlds. He was a quiet boy, with messy brown hair and big, curious blue eyes.

But Leo loved listening even more. Especially when his Grandpa Finn told tales. Grandpa’s voice was deep and warm, like a cozy fire.

Grandpa Finn was the best storyteller in the village. Leo dreamed of being like him, of sharing his own stories. But sometimes, words felt stuck.

The village festival arrived! Banners fluttered, music played, and delicious smells filled the air. Everyone gathered on the green.

Soon, it was time for Grandpa Finn’s story. He stood on the small wooden stage, smiling at the crowd. Leo stood nearby, clutching his sketchbook tight.

"Come up, my little storyteller," Grandpa called softly to Leo. He held out a hand. Leo’s heart thumped like a drum.

Leo tried to speak. "I-I-I..." The words wouldn't come out smoothly. His cheeks grew hot. He shook his head, shrinking back.

Grandpa Finn knelt beside him. "It's alright, little one," he whispered, his voice gentle. He understood Leo without many words.

Grandpa saw Leo’s worn sketchbook. He carefully opened it, looking at the pages filled with drawings. A spark lit in his kind eyes.

"These are wonderful, Leo," Grandpa said. "Why don't you share a story with your pictures? I'll help with the words."

Leo took a deep, shaky breath. He looked at the friendly faces in the crowd. He held up his first drawing, a tiny, round bird.

"Once," Grandpa began, "there was a tiny bird, no bigger than your thumb. It was very brave."

Leo held up another picture. "B-but..." he started, then pointed. Grandpa continued, "It was scared to fly high, high above the tallest trees."

Leo showed a drawing of a little worm stuck in a puddle. "It s-saw a f-friend," Leo managed. "Who needed help."
