Teagan felt a flutter. Today was her first day at Oakwood School! She wore her favorite sparkly shoes.
Teagan couldn't hear sounds like other kids. But she saw everything, especially with her keen eyes!
Inside, Miss Lily smiled. 'Welcome, Teagan!' she signed. Teagan smiled back, feeling a little less shy.
Then Teagan saw Bobby. He had messy brown hair and a kind smile. Her heart did a little flip.
Miss Lily clapped her hands. 'Oh dear! Our special Golden Acorn is missing!' she signed, looking worried.
The Golden Acorn was the school's lucky charm. It always sat on Miss Lily's desk. Where could it be?
Everyone looked around. Some kids whispered. Others searched under their desks. No acorn anywhere!
Teagan watched carefully. She saw a tiny, shiny speck near the window. A golden shimmer!
Bobby saw Teagan pointing. He walked over. 'What did you see?' he asked, signing slowly.
Teagan signed, 'Gold... near... window.' Bobby's eyes widened. He knelt down to look closer.
'You're right!' Bobby whispered. 'And look! A faint golden trail, like tiny dust.'
Together, they followed the shimmering path. It led out of the classroom, down the quiet hall.
The trail stopped at the art room door. A sign said: 'Creativity Blooms Here!'
They peeked inside. The room was filled with colors and glitter. Was the Acorn here?
