Sofia's Sunny Garden
Sofia loved sunny days and bright colors. Today, she visited the bustling community garden, her favorite place to explore!
Bumblebees buzzed, butterflies danced, and juicy red tomatoes ripened on their vines. Every corner held a new, delightful surprise.
But Sofia’s absolute favorite were the tall, golden sunflowers, reaching their sunny faces high up towards the warm sky.
Oh, how she wished to plant her very own sunflower seeds in this lovely, welcoming garden! She imagined them growing so tall.
She rolled closer to a flowerbed, but the ground was bumpy. The low wooden edge made the planting spot too far away to reach.
Leo and Maya, busy watering their crunchy carrots, saw Sofia trying her best to reach the soft, dark earth.
A little sigh escaped Sofia. Her wonderful sunflower dream suddenly felt very far away, like a cloud drifting out of reach.
Leo zipped over. "What’s wrong, Sofia? Can’t reach the best planting spot?" he asked, his voice full of energy.
Maya joined them. "Hmm, we could bring the soil to you! But how would we do that?" she wondered aloud.
Just then, Mr. Henderson, the kind garden keeper, walked by. He smiled. "Perhaps we can build a special bed!"
"A *raised* flowerbed!" he announced. "Tall enough for everyone to reach comfortably and plant their dreams!"
Leo found strong, smooth wooden planks from the shed. Maya gathered shiny screws and a sturdy hammer.
Together, they measured, hammered, and built a beautiful new wooden box. *Tap-tap-tap!* *Whirr-whirr-whirr!*
