Carlos the squirrel loved busy Saturdays! His bushy tail twitched, eager for adventure, his acorn collection jingling.
They were the best of friends, even though Sofia liked calm and Carlos liked zoom!
One sunny Saturday morning, they met under the big oak tree, ready for their special day.
Sofia gently hummed. "Let's visit dear Mrs. Rodriguez today. Her garden needs a little helping hand."
Carlos bounced! "No, no! Let's race to the park! We can swing super high and chase butterflies!"
Sofia sighed softly. Carlos tapped his paw. Neither friend wanted to give up their Saturday plan.
Then, Sofia looked at Carlos's eager face. Carlos saw Sofia's thoughtful eyes. They both paused.
Sofia whispered, "What if we do both? Half a day helping, half a day playing?"
Carlos's eyes lit up! "Yes! A super-duper plan! First, Mrs. Rodriguez, then the park!"
They trotted to Mrs. Rodriguez's charming cottage. Her garden looked a little wild.
Sofia nibbled weeds carefully. Carlos tidied fallen leaves, his little paws working fast.
Mrs. Rodriguez smiled. "Oh, thank you, my dear friends! My garden looks beautiful again!"
After a warm hug, it was time! "To the park!" Carlos squeaked, zooming ahead.
