Samuel lived on a busy farm. He was a very quiet boy.
But Samuel loved all the farm animals. They were his best, quiet friends.
His Abuelo taught him many things. Abuelo was patient and very kind.
One morning, a tiny lamb arrived. It was very, very weak.
"She needs special care," Abuelo said softly. "Much love."
Abuelo showed Samuel how to feed her. Slowly, slowly, with care.
Samuel fed the little lamb. "Drink, tiny one," he whispered.
He talked to her every day. "You are so brave, Lily."
Samuel told Lily stories. He sang soft, quiet songs.
Lily grew a little stronger. She tried to stand up!
