Sammy was a fluffy, bouncy puppy. His floppy ears flopped when he ran.
He loved to play fetch! The bright red ball was his favorite toy.
His big sister, Luna, loved fetch too. But Sammy never waited.
"Mine!" barked Sammy, grabbing the ball first, every single time.
Mama Dog, wise and calm, watched her playful pups.
"Let's play a new game," Mama Dog said softly. "The Waiting Warrior!"
"The ball is a special prize. Only for the bravest warrior."
"Warriors must wait! Count to ten, or do a silly dance first!"
Mama threw the ball. Sammy wiggled. It was so hard to wait!
He tried a little wiggle-dance. One, two, three wiggles!
