A curious young girl, Sakura, discovers why her favorite cherry blossom orchard is losing its vibrancy and, with her Grandma's wisdom, embarks on a mission to attract helpful bees, bringing life and color back to the sleepy trees.

📖 Read the Story

Sakura loved visiting her Grandma. Today, they packed a picnic for the cherry blossom orchard.

Grandma, with her soft grey hair, always knew the best stories about nature.

The orchard was usually bursting with pink and white blossoms. It was Sakura's favorite place to draw.

But today, something felt different. The blossoms looked a little dull, and fewer than before.

Sakura opened her sketchbook. She tried to draw, but her crayons felt heavy.

"The trees seem sleepy, Obaasan," Sakura whispered. "They're not as bright."

Grandma nodded. "Sometimes, nature needs a little help, my dear. A special kind of helper."

Later, at home, Sakura looked through Grandma's old garden books. She saw pictures of tiny, fuzzy creatures.

"Bees!" she exclaimed. "They fly from flower to flower, carrying magic dust called pollen!"

Grandma explained, "Pollen helps the trees make new, healthy blossoms and yummy cherries!"

"The orchard needs more bees!" Sakura declared, her eyes sparkling with an idea.

She drew a plan: a small garden filled with flowers bees loved, right near the orchard.

Grandma helped her choose seeds: lavender, coneflowers, and bright cosmos.

Together, they dug a sunny patch of earth. Sakura carefully planted each tiny seed.
