Rumi, Zoey, and Mira were the best of friends, always exploring the magical Whispering Woods. Today, Rumi led the way, her eyes sparkling with adventure. "I heard there's a hidden glade!" she whispered.

They found the Moonpetal Glade! It glowed with a soft, magical light. Rare Moonpetals bloomed everywhere, and in the center, a giant, pulsating crystal shimmered. "Wow!" breathed Mira, her eyes wide.

Rumi felt drawn to a special Moonpetal, glowing brighter than the rest. As her fingers brushed its soft petals, a strange tingle ran through her. A special moon shone overhead, casting long shadows.

Suddenly, Rumi was surrounded by shimmering light! Her body began to change. Just like a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly, Rumi was undergoing her own special metamorphosis!

She had sleek, dark wings and glowing amber eyes! Rumi was now a Nightwing Sprite! She found she could fly silently and see perfectly in the dim light, just like an owl in the night.

Rumi loved her new abilities, but she worried. Would her friends still like her if she looked so different? She decided to keep her transformation a secret, only changing at night.

Meanwhile, the Saja Boys – Kael, Finn, and Jinu – were up to no good. Kael had heard tales of the Moonpetal Heart's power. "We'll take that glowing crystal!" he whispered greedily.

They stomped into the glade, disturbing the peace. Kael and Finn tried to pry the Moonpetal Heart from its place. Jinu watched, his brow furrowed, as they carelessly damaged the glowing flowers.

Zoey and Mira noticed Rumi acting strangely, disappearing each night. Worried, they followed her. Hidden in the shadows, they saw Rumi – but she was a creature with wings and glowing eyes!

"Rumi?" whispered Zoey, her voice trembling. Mira gasped. Their friend looked so different, almost scary! And she hadn't told them. A cold knot formed in their stomachs.

"Please, don't be scared," Rumi pleaded, her voice soft. But Zoey and Mira couldn't look past her new form. "Why didn't you tell us?" Zoey asked, tears welling in her eyes. "We trusted you!"

Rumi felt a pang of sadness deeper than any she'd known. Her friends were hurt, and she understood why. But she wished they could see past her wings and glowing eyes to the Rumi inside.

While the friends were apart, the Saja Boys continued their mischief. With each tug, the Moonpetal Heart flickered, and the glade grew dimmer. The magical flowers began to wilt.

Rumi knew the Moonpetal Heart was vital for the glade, just like the sun helps plants grow. Without it, the magic would disappear! She swooped and called, but the Saja Boys just laughed.
