She hiked to her favorite spot, a quiet corner near a rocky cliff, where she just *knew* something amazing was waiting.

Rosie began to dig, gently scraping away layers of sand and small stones. *Tap, tap, scrape.*

Then, *thump!* Her pick hit something hard. It wasn't a usual rock. Her heart thumped with excitement!

She brushed away more dirt, revealing a strange, bumpy shape. It was a fossil! But unlike any she had ever seen.
