Rajan loved sunny days! He chased buzzing bees and fluttering butterflies through the tall, green grass. His village, nestled between rolling hills, felt warm and bright.

But then, the sky began to change. Dark, heavy clouds rolled in, like a giant grey blanket covering the sun. A low rumble echoed across the quiet fields.

*Thump-thump-thump!* The monsoon had arrived! Rain lashed against the windows, drumming on the tin roof. Rajan watched the world turn into a watery blur.

Days passed, and the rain did not stop. Rajan felt grumpy. He couldn't play outside, splash in puddles, or climb his favourite mango tree.

He peered out his doorway. Oh, dear! The street was a shallow, brown river. His playing field was now a big, muddy lake. Rajan sighed sadly.

"Rajan!" A cheerful voice cut through the rain. It was Priya, splashing happily through the water. Her smile was as bright as a sunflower.

Rajan frowned. "This rain is too much, Priya! Everything is wet and muddy. I wish it would just go away!" He stomped his foot.

Priya squeezed his hand gently. "But Rajan," she said, "look at the fields. They were so dry and thirsty. The earth needed this water."

"Remember the tiny seeds we planted?" she continued. "They are waiting for this rain, deep in the soil, to wake up and grow tall."

Rajan looked at the vast, wet fields, then back at Priya's kind face. A small flicker of understanding sparked inside him. Perhaps the rain wasn't *just* a nuisance.

Suddenly, they saw Auntie Shanti. Her doorstep was almost submerged, and she was struggling to move heavy clay pots to higher ground. She looked worried.

"Oh no!" Priya exclaimed. "Auntie Shanti needs help! Let's go, Rajan!" Rajan nodded, a new purpose filling him. His grumpy mood was fading.

Splashing through the water, they carefully carried pots, baskets, and even a small stool. Together, they moved everything to a safe, dry spot on her porch.

Auntie Shanti smiled, her face crinkling with gratitude. "Thank you, my dears!" she said, offering them sweet, juicy mango slices. They felt a warm glow.
