Quinn the quail and Ruby the rabbit were best friends. They lived in a sunny, green meadow.
They loved to play hide-and-seek. Quinn would scuttle, Ruby would hop.
One bright morning, they saw something new. A colorful kite was tangled high up!
"Oh dear!" chirped Quinn. "Someone must be missing it very much."
Ruby twitched her pink nose. "It's so very high. How can we ever reach it?"
Quinn flapped his little wings. "I can fly up a bit!" he chirped bravely.
He flew, flew, and stretched his neck. But the kite was still too far.
Ruby had a clever idea. "Maybe I can hop on the sturdy branches!"
"Yes!" said Quinn, his eyes bright. "I can push it while you pull!"
Quinn flew up high, nudging the string. Ruby hopped, hopped, hopped!
