Professor Bumble and Percy's Clever Connection

Deep in a cozy, cluttered house lived Professor Bumble. His wild white beard bounced when he walked, and his socks never matched.

His secret lab buzzed with bubbling beakers and whirring gears. He was building something truly amazing: a machine to talk to animals!

Perched high on a shelf was Percy, a bright green parrot with curious eyes. Percy loved to listen and repeat everything he heard.

"Hmph, a tricky wire!" Professor Bumble would grumble. Percy would squawk, "Tricky wire! Tricky wire!" making the Professor chuckle.

The "Animal Translator 5000" was almost ready. But a strange hum kept stopping it from working. "Oh, dear," sighed the Professor.

He tried twisting knobs and tapping wires. He even tried whispering sweet nothings to the machine, but nothing helped.

"Perhaps a different frequency?" he wondered aloud, adjusting a tiny switch. The hum grew louder, then sputtered.

Percy watched from his perch, tilting his head. He’d heard the Professor say that phrase many times. He knew it well.

Professor Bumble stepped back, wiping his brow. "It needs a *different* kind of connection, I suppose," he mumbled, feeling quite defeated.

Just then, Percy flew down and landed on a large, red button. "Different connection!" he squawked, loud and clear.

The machine gave a shudder. A new light blinked. Then, a tiny voice chirped from the speaker: "My worm is delicious!"

Professor Bumble gasped! He looked at Percy, then at the machine. A little robin was singing outside the window!

"It worked!" he exclaimed, his beard practically vibrating with excitement. Percy ruffled his feathers, looking pleased.
