Princess Jasmin peeked from her castle window. Tonight was Halloween! She saw villagers hanging friendly ghost lanterns and funny pumpkin faces. Her heart fluttered with excitement.

"Oh, how I wish I could join them!" she whispered. Jasmin had heard tales of trick-or-treating and spooky fun, but she had never been allowed to go.

Her parents, King Theron and Queen Luna, were very kind. But they worried about their little princess venturing out alone on such a busy night.

"It's too wild, my dear," her mother would say gently. "A princess must stay safe within the castle walls." Jasmin understood, but still, she longed for adventure.

This year, Jasmin had a secret plan. She wouldn't go far, just to the very edge of the Royal Woods. She would see Halloween for herself, just for a little while.

As the sun dipped, painting the sky in fiery oranges and purples, Jasmin slipped on her softest lavender gown. She tucked her silver star clip into her dark hair.

Quietly, she tiptoed down a hidden staircase. A sudden flutter made her jump! A tiny bat, no bigger than her hand, darted past her face.

"Oh!" Jasmin gasped softly. The bat, with big, dark eyes, looked just as startled. It clung to a stone gargoyle, trembling slightly. "Are you scared too?" she wondered.

The little bat, Pip, seemed to understand. He chirped softly, his tiny nose twitching. He was trying to avoid the noisy village, just like Jasmin was seeking a quiet adventure.

Jasmin held out a gentle hand. "Don't worry, Pip," she murmured. "I'm just going for a little peek. Would you like to come along?" Pip fluttered closer, curious.

Together, they ventured towards the edge of the Royal Woods. The air was crisp and cool, carrying the scent of autumn leaves. A full, round moon shone brightly above.

The path was lined with glowing, grinning pumpkins. Friendly fabric ghosts swayed gently from tree branches. It wasn't scary at all, but wonderfully mysterious.

Jasmin giggled as she saw a scarecrow wearing a silly witch's hat. Pip, perched on her shoulder, let out a tiny, happy squeak. The woods whispered with gentle magic.

They saw children in costumes, laughing as they followed the pumpkin trail. Jasmin felt a warm glow spread through her. This was even better than she had imagined!
