Little Pip the penguin watched his family. He was small and very fluffy.
He saw them dive and splash. The big blue sea looked so exciting!
Pip waddled over to his Mama. Her feathers were so sleek.
"Mama," Pip chirped softly. "Please teach me to swim?"
Mama smiled a warm, gentle smile. She knew just what to do.
Together, they waddled to the ocean's edge. The waves whispered.
The water looked so big and cold! Pip felt a tiny shiver.
Mama dipped her foot in. "See, Pip? It feels lovely!"
Pip took a deep breath. Splash! His little foot went in.
Mama slid smoothly into the water. She swam in a circle.
