Pig was a little piglet. He loved to explore. His tiny nose twitched.
Mom Pig watched him. She had kind, warm eyes. "What are you thinking, Pig?"
Dad Pig stood nearby. He was strong and helpful. He loved digging in the earth.
*Rumble, rumble!* went Pig's tummy. "I'm so hungry!" squealed Pig. "What can we eat today?"
Mom Pig smiled brightly. "Let's find a yummy snack!" she said. "A special garden treat."
Dad Pig led the way. He sniffed the rich, dark soil. *Sniff, sniff!* What was hidden?
Dad Pig dug deep down. Up popped a crunchy carrot! "Look, Pig! A yummy root!"
"Yum, a root!" said Pig. Mom Pig pointed to green leaves. "What about these, Pig?"
"Look, Pig!" she said. "These are tasty spinach leaves." They grow above the ground.
Pig munched on a leaf. "Crunchy and fresh!" Pig giggled. What a wonderful green snack!
