Peyton's Grand Adventure

Hello! My name is Peyton. Yesterday was a rainy, gloomy day. I love bunnies, especially my special bunny, Floppy.

But Floppy was gone! My favourite stuffed bunny was missing. Oh, how my heart sank! I needed Floppy.

My grand quest began! First, I bravely explored under my bed. It was a dark, dusty cave, but no Floppy!

Next, I ventured into the icy fortress of the fridge! "Brrr!" I shivered, but Floppy wasn't hiding amongst the snacks.

Then, I explored the towering mountains of Mum and Dad’s bed. No bunny explorer was found in that majestic territory!

I even investigated the watery abyss of the bath and the shiny sink. Floppy wasn't sailing in either of those wet places.

Finally, I braved the wild frontier outside! I searched amongst the puddles and plants, but still no Floppy.

I felt so sad. My brave adventure had failed. Where could my precious Floppy be? I missed my soft friend.

Just then, my amazing Mum appeared, a beacon of hope! "What's wrong, sweetie?" she asked, her voice soft.

Mum chuckled. "Floppy is safe, my little explorer! I put him in his special spot, high in the kitchen!"

Oh, the relief! My heart soared like a bird! Floppy was found! My adventure had a glorious, happy ending after all!

Today is Monday! The sun is shining, and a brand new adventure awaits. It's the first day back to school!

After a long holiday, I feel a little nervous, but mostly excited! Grade 4! A whole new year!
