Little Penny was a very small piglet. Her ears were floppy, her snout was pink.
Her big brother Gus and sister Betsy were playing. "Castle Defenders!" they shouted with glee.
"Can I play?" asked Penny softly. "Not now, Penny," said Gus. "It's too complicated!"
Mama Pig watched from the porch. She saw Penny's droopy ears. "Hmm," she smiled gently.
"Penny, my dear," Mama said kindly. "The castle needs a Royal Messenger!"
"You must deliver important messages," Mama explained. "Like these brave castle flowers!"
Penny carefully carried a bright yellow daisy. She brought it to Queen Betsy.
"A message from the village!" Betsy declared. "Excellent work, Messenger Penny!"
Penny's tail gave a happy wag. Next, she gathered shiny red berries for Sir Gus.
"Urgent supplies from the village!" Penny announced proudly. Gus munched happily.
