Nia loved science! Her room was filled with gears and wires. She dreamed of building a special robot.

But Willow Creek was small. Finding robot parts was tricky. Nia often felt a little sad.

"I wish I had pieces for a robot," Nia told her dads, Michael and James, at dinner.

Dad Michael smiled. Dad James hugged her tight. "We can help, sweet pea!" they said.

They decided to hold a "Robot Rally" fundraiser. Everyone could help Nia's dream!

They hung colorful posters all over town. "Robot Rally! For Nia's Big Dream!"

Mrs. Gable, the baker, promised yummy cookies. Mr. Henderson offered old car parts.

The community hall buzzed! Neighbors brought boxes of recycled treasures and spare coins.

Nia's eyes sparkled. So many wonderful, unusual pieces! Her robot could be amazing!

With new tools and recycled parts, Nia began to build. Snip, snap, twist, glue!

Sometimes, a piece didn't fit. Nia tried again, and again. She wouldn't give up!

Slowly, her robot, Sparky, took shape. Bottle cap eyes, a can body, wire arms.

"It's finished!" Nia cheered. Sparky blinked its big eyes and gave a little wiggle.

Soon, it was time for the annual Willow Creek Science Fair. Nia wanted to show Sparky!
