Molly wore her sparkly purple tutu. Maddie had cool, mismatched socks on. “Girls,” Mom called, “Time to shop!”
Molly bounced, “Hooray for shopping!” Her Hoppy frog peeked from her pocket. Maddie sighed, “Let’s make a list, Molly.”
The big supermarket doors swooshed open. Molly gasped, “Look! A giant banana!” It was only a big yellow sign.
Maddie pushed the wobbly shopping cart. Molly tried to steer it with her foot. Wobble, wobble, CRASH! (Into soft toys!)
Mom giggled, “Oh, Molly-Moo!” Molly hugged a fluffy teddy bear. “He needs a hug after that!”
“Apples next,” Mom said with a smile. Molly sniffed each apple very loudly. “This one smells like a sleepy badger!”
Maddie carefully picked shiny red ones. She put them gently in the cart. “These are perfect, Molly,” she declared.
Next, milk! Molly pointed to the fridge. “Can we make milk mustaches, Mom?” Maddie rolled her eyes, but secretly smiled.
Molly tried to carry a big carton. It slipped! SPLASH! A tiny puddle appeared. “Oopsie-daisy!” Molly giggled loudly.
Mom wiped it up. “Good helpers, girls!” She winked. “Time for our special treat!” Molly and Maddie cheered very loudly.
