Mina loved K-pop more than anything. She dreamed of sparkling on stage, just like her heroes, the Starlight Squad. Every day, she practiced their amazing dance moves in her room, imagining cheering crowds.
Her heart fluttered with excitement as she spun and leaped. Sometimes, she felt a little shy, even when only her reflection watched. But the music always made her feel brave, filling her with a happy, bubbly energy.
The Starlight Squad was famous! Their songs brought joy to everyone. But they had a secret mission, known only to a few: they were K-pop Light-Bringers, chasing away the world’s quiet gloom.
They didn't fight scary monsters. Instead, they used their music and dance to banish tiny, shimmering grey wisps called Gloomy Glimmers. These Glimmers made everything feel dull and quiet.
One sunny morning, Mina walked past the old Willow Creek Park. It usually buzzed with laughter, but today, it felt strangely quiet. The flowers looked droopy, and the swings hung perfectly still.
A little sigh escaped her lips. The park felt… sad. She squinted, seeing faint, shimmering grey shapes drifting silently among the trees. They seemed to steal the colors away.
Suddenly, a flash of silver and pastel caught her eye. It was the Starlight Squad! They walked with purpose, their light-up wristbands glowing softly. Mina gasped, hiding behind a big bush.
"The Gloomy Glimmers are strong here," Jia whispered to Leo and Sora. "This park needs our brightest light." They knew their music was the only way to make the park sparkle again.
With a deep breath, the Starlight Squad took their places. Sora’s gentle voice began a soft melody, like a comforting hum. Leo moved gracefully, his light-up gloves tracing patterns in the air.
Then, the music swelled! Their synchronized dance was a whirlwind of color and energy. Each step, each spin, sent waves of happy sound through the park. The Gloomy Glimmers began to shrink.
Mina watched, mesmerized. Oh, how she wished she could join them! But a small Gloomy Glimmer drifted close to her, making her feel even smaller and shyer. Her feet felt stuck to the ground.
"They are so amazing," she thought, a little voice in her head whispering, "You can't dance like that. You're just Mina." She felt a familiar shyness creep over her.
Just then, Jia, the leader, turned her head. Her eyes met Mina's. Jia didn't scold her for hiding; instead, she offered a warm, encouraging smile and a gentle nod. "You can do it," her eyes seemed to say.
A tiny spark ignited inside Mina. Jia believed in her! Taking a deep breath, Mina stepped out from behind the bush. Her legs felt wobbly, but her heart pulsed with a new kind of courage.
