Luna wasn't like the other children. While they colored neatly inside the lines, her imagination soared far beyond, painting the world in swirls of impossible hues. Her mind was a bustling marketplace of ideas.
Ordinary words felt a little too small for Luna. "Nice," "good," "pretty"βthey just didn't quite capture the enormous, bubbly feelings she had inside. She longed for something new, something truly special.
One afternoon, while counting her collection of shiny pebbles, Luna started playing with sounds. "One two... three four... five six... seven eight..." The numbers danced on her tongue, a playful rhythm.
Suddenly, a spark! "Six seven!" she whispered. It wasn't a real word, but it felt bouncy and bright, like sunshine after rain. It tasted like giggles and sounded like a secret.
The next day, Luna found her best friend, Leo, at the building block station. He was carefully stacking colorful blocks, creating the tallest, wobbliest tower ever seen in their classroom.
"Leo, that tower is absolutely... six seven!" Luna declared, her voice bubbling with excitement. She pointed at the masterpiece with an enthusiastic finger.
Leo tilted his head. "Six seven? What does that mean, Luna?" Luna explained, "It means super-duper-fantastical-awesome! It means WOW and HOORAY all at once!"
Leo thought for a moment. Then, he spotted a tiny ladybug crawling across a bright green leaf outside the window. Its red shell was so shiny! "Wow," he murmured, "that ladybug is so six seven!"
They shared a secret giggle. "Six seven" became their special word, a silly, joyful way to describe everything wonderful. It was their own little language, just for them.
Soon, "six seven" started escaping their secret circle. At recess, Maya was showing off her new skipping rope. "Look how fast I can go!" she cried, twirling it expertly.
"That's so six seven, Maya!" Luna cheered, her voice carrying across the playground. Maya paused, a curious look on her face, then grinned and skipped even faster.
Before long, "six seven" popped up everywhere. "My new drawing is six seven!" exclaimed Tom. "This swing goes six seven high!" shouted Lily, soaring towards the sky.
Ms. Lily, their kind teacher, noticed the new word blossoming. She heard it in the classroom, on the playground, and even during story time. It seemed to make everyone smile.
One morning, she asked Luna about it. Luna, a little shy but proud, explained, "It's for when ordinary words just aren't big enough for all the amazing feelings!"
