Lily loved Halloween, but not the scary parts. No creaky monsters or spooky ghosts for her! She wished for a special, gentle kind of magic. Something truly wonderful.

Then, a shimmering flyer fluttered onto her windowsill. It glowed with soft, rainbow light. 'Best Halloween Movie 2025 – Tonight!' it read, in swirly, silver letters.

Lily's eyes widened. A movie? A *best* movie? But where? The flyer showed a path winding into the woods behind her house, not a cinema. She felt a little flutter of nerves.

'Maybe it's a special, secret movie,' she whispered. Taking a deep breath, Lily pulled on her warmest boots. She grabbed her favorite star-shaped lantern, just in case.

Stepping outside, the autumn air felt crisp and sweet. The moon was a friendly, round smile in the sky. A tiny, glowing light zipped past her nose, then waited.

It was Pip! A fluffy, iridescent firefly-like creature with big, friendly eyes. Pip hummed a gentle tune, its rainbow wings shimmering, and beckoned with its light.

Lily smiled. Pip always knew the best secrets. She followed her tiny, sparkling guide to the edge of the Whispering Woods. The trees seemed to hum softly.

Deeper they went. The path was soft with moss, and the air smelled of damp leaves and magic. No scary sounds, just gentle rustles and distant, happy twinkles.

Lily hugged her lantern a little tighter. 'What kind of movie will it be, Pip?' she whispered. Pip just hummed a happy, mysterious tune and zipped ahead.

Suddenly, they arrived in a wide, open clearing. The Moonlit Meadow! But there was no giant screen, no projector, no rows of seats. Lily looked around, puzzled.

Pip flew to the center of the meadow, to a giant, ancient oak tree. Its gnarled branches were covered in tiny, glowing, magical fungi, like a thousand little lamps.

Pip landed on a branch and hummed a special, sweet melody. As it sang, the glowing fungi on the tree began to pulse and shine even brighter, casting dancing shadows.

The shadows weren't scary at all. They began to twist and turn, forming shapes! A friendly ghost waved. A pumpkin smiled. A little witch flew on her broomstick.

Lily gasped with delight. These were the 'movie' characters! They danced and played, flitting across the tree trunk and swirling on the dewy grass around her.
