📖 Read the Story

Leona had a brand-new little sister named Luna. Leona loved her very much.

Luna was so tiny, like a little button. Her fingers were like ten tiny peas.

Leona brought her fluffy unicorn, Sparkle. "Want to play, Luna?" she whispered.

But Luna just slept, or drank milk, or made tiny baby noises. Mom was always busy.

"Luna needs me," Mom would say softly. Leona sometimes felt a little bit forgotten.

"Sparkle," Leona whispered, "What does a tiny baby *do*? She doesn't even talk!"

Leona watched Luna in her crib. Luna's big blue eyes blinked slowly, looking at nothing.

Suddenly, Luna's tiny hand reached out, wiggling in the air. It looked like a little star.

Leona gently offered her finger. Luna's precious fingers curled around it, grasping tight!

"Hello, tiny explorer," Leona whispered. "Are you exploring my finger? What do you see?"

Leona told Luna a secret story about a brave little star who found a new galaxy.

Luna made a soft, happy gurgle. It sounded like tiny bells ringing.

Mom walked in, carrying laundry. She smiled. "You're a wonderful big sister, Leona."

Dad came too. "Luna loves your stories," he said, giving Leona a gentle hug.
