Leo and the Great Wall Builders

Leo the lion cub loved to build. He imagined grand castles and tall, winding towers. His paws carefully placed each block.

"Higher!" he purred, stacking a bright red block on top. "This will be the tallest tower ever!" He giggled with delight.

But *CRASH!* Down it tumbled! Again. Leo sighed, a big puff of air. His magnificent tower was just a pile.

Papa Lion heard the clatter. He saw Leo’s drooping ears and sad little face. "What happened here, little builder?" he asked softly.

Leo mumbled, "My towers always fall, Papa. They just won't stay up!" He felt a big lump in his throat.

Papa Lion stroked Leo's head. "Sometimes, even the best builders need a new plan," he said. "Shall we try something different?"

"Today," Papa announced, "we are 'The Great Wall Builders'!" He held up an imaginary blueprint. "Our mission: a strong, sturdy wall!"

Leo's eyes lit up. "A wall? Like a fortress?" Papa nodded. "First, we need our special builder hats!" he winked.

Papa picked a wide, flat block. "Every great structure begins with a strong foundation," he explained. "This is our base."

Leo watched, then carefully placed his own block. Not too high, not too wobbly. This felt different.

They worked together, side by side. Papa showed Leo how to make the base wide and even, like roots for a tree.

"See how it balances?" Papa said, gently pressing a block. "Each piece helps the others stay firm."

Leo thought about the shapes. A long rectangle here, a square there. He was thinking like a real architect!
