Kaito loved the Okinawan beach. His spiky hair bounced as he played. He built the very best sandcastles.
But Kaito was a bit shy. He liked quiet play. Talking to new people was sometimes hard.
One sunny morning, a bottle floated. It bobbed gently near his castle. Kaito saw something inside!
He carefully reached for it. His small fingers grasped the smooth glass. What could it be?
Inside was a rolled-up paper. Kaito pulled it out gently. It was a very special message!
The message read: "Help! I'm Shelly the turtle. Stuck in the mangrove roots. Please find me! Far away."
Kaito felt a big worry. How could he help Shelly? He was just one small boy.
Then he thought of Mrs. Sato. She was always so kind. She lived right next door.
He took a deep breath. "I must be brave," he whispered. Shelly truly needed his help.
Kaito knocked on her door. "Mrs. Sato," he said softly. "A turtle needs us!"
