Jessica and Charlotte's Best Day Ever!

Hi! I'm Jessica. My bright red pigtails bounce when I giggle. Today is the *best* day! My friend, Charlotte, is coming over.

Charlotte has curly brown hair and super-cool glasses. She’s my school playmate. We always have the most *fantastical* adventures together!

The weekend finally arrived! *Ding-dong!* "She's here!" I shouted, doing a happy dance. My tummy did a flip-flop!

Charlotte skipped inside, her striped dress swishing. "Hi, Jessica!" she beamed. "Are you ready for some serious fun?"

First, we zoomed to the backyard! Dad, Mr. Piffle, was already inflating a *gigantic* rainbow castle. "Hold still, you bouncy beast!" he puffed.

The castle grew bigger and bigger! It looked like a happy, puffy cloud. "Last one in is a rotten egg!" Charlotte yelled, already climbing.

We bounced and tumbled like two silly popcorn kernels! *Boing! Whizz!* I tried a super-duper jump. "Watch this, Charlotte!"

*WHOOSH!* I landed right next to Charlotte, making her do a funny somersault. "Oops! Sorry!" I giggled. She just laughed and stuck out her tongue.

Next, we built a *magnificent* Lego fortress. "It needs a secret tunnel," Charlotte declared, adding a tiny green brick.

I added a *sparkly* purple roof and a wobbly flag. "And a grumpy Lego monster to guard it!" I said, placing a funny-faced brick.

"ROAR!" Charlotte made the monster wiggle. "He's trying to steal our treasure!" We both shrieked with joyful laughter.

Then, it was Switch time! We played "Rainbow Racers." My character, Speedy Squirrel, zoomed past Charlotte's character, Captain Carrot.

"No fair! Captain Carrot slipped on a banana peel!" Charlotte exclaimed, pretending to be very dramatic. "My poor carrot!"
