Jessia's Hotpot Adventure

Jessia hummed a happy tune. She wore her favorite sparkly pink dress. "It's Saturday!" she chirped, her pigtails bouncing.

Today was special. She was going to Belle’s house! Belle, with her sunny smile, was Jessia’s very best friend.

Jessia packed her little unicorn toy. Soon, she was at Belle's bright yellow front door. Belle pulled her inside with a giggle.

They played with blocks, building a tall, wobbly tower in Belle's cozy, colorful playroom, filled with soft rugs and bright toys.

"Dinner time, girls!" Belle's mom called. Jessia followed Belle to the dining room. A big, round table waited.

In the middle, a shiny pot bubbled gently. Steam danced up. Around it were many colorful plates of food. Jessia's eyes grew wide.

Sliced carrots, green spinach, tiny meatballs, and noodles sat neatly. It was called "hotpot," Belle’s mom explained, smiling kindly.

Jessia had never seen anything like it! So many new things. Her tummy felt a little fluttery, not from hunger, but from surprise.

Belle’s family sat down. Belle’s dad, with his warm laugh, showed them long chopsticks. Jessia held hers carefully.

Everyone started dipping food into the bubbling broth. Jessia watched, a tiny frown on her face. What should she pick? How did it work?

Belle noticed Jessia’s quietness. "Look, Jessia!" Belle said, her voice cheerful. She picked a little fish ball with her chopsticks.

Belle carefully dipped the fish ball into the warm, bubbling soup. It swam around for a moment, then she pulled it out.

"Now, into my bowl!" Belle announced, placing it gently. She added a tiny bit of sauce. "Want to try?" she asked, her eyes sparkling.
