Jasmine and the Desert Moon Drums

Jasmine the jackal loved music more than anything. Her paws tapped a rhythm everywhere she went, especially on her favorite drum.

She dreamed of the annual Desert Moon Celebration, when her drumming would fill the night with joyful sounds. It was her favorite time!

Jasmine’s best friend was Omar, a clever camel. Omar was calm and always knew just what to do, especially when things went missing.

Today was the big day! The village buzzed with excitement. Everyone prepared for the Desert Moon Celebration under the vast sky.

Jasmine skipped to the special hut where the village drums were kept. She couldn't wait to choose her drum for the evening.

But when she peeked inside, her heart sank. The hut was empty! All the beautiful drums were gone!

A worried frown creased Jasmine’s brow. How could they celebrate without music? The Desert Moon Celebration needed its drums!

Just then, Omar ambled by, his long neck swaying. He saw Jasmine’s sad face and knew something was wrong.

“Don’t worry, Jasmine,” Omar said softly. “My eyes are good at finding things. Let’s search together, two heads are better than one.”

They looked around the hut. Omar spotted tiny, faint paw prints leading out of the village, towards the golden dunes.

Following the tracks, they walked deeper into the rolling sands. Suddenly, Omar stopped. “Look!” he whispered, pointing to a bright feather.

The feather was tucked near a large, smooth rock. Jasmine carefully pushed the rock aside, revealing a small opening.

Inside, a tiny fennec fox kit peeked out! It had enormous ears and looked very playful, but a little shy.
