📖 Read the Story

One sunny morning, Iris played in her bright green backyard. The air smelled sweet, and the sun felt warm on her skin. It was a perfect day for exploring.

Suddenly, something caught her eye. Right there, on the soft grass, was a tiny, fluffy white thing. It looked very out of place, like a misplaced marshmallow.

It was a little cloud! It looked so small and lost, resting quietly on the green. Its edges seemed a bit droopy, and it didn't move at all.

Iris knelt down slowly, careful not to startle it. "Hello?" she whispered softly, her voice gentle. "Are you okay, little cloud?"

The cloud trembled! It shrank a tiny bit, pulling its soft edges closer. Iris understood. This little cloud wasn't just lost; it was very, very shy.

Iris looked up at the big, happy clouds floating high above. Then she looked at her new friend. This little cloud was far from its family in the sky.

"Don't worry," Iris promised, gently cupping the cloud in her hands. "We'll find a way to get you back home to your puffy family."

But how does a cloud get back up to the sky? Iris thought and thought. It was a very big problem for such a small cloud.

She tried a gentle toss, hoping it would float up. But the little cloud just drifted softly back down. It wasn't strong enough to fly.

The little cloud looked sadder, its edges drooping. Iris felt a little sad too, but she wouldn't give up. She had to help her new friend.

Then, Iris spotted the giant oak tree in her yard. Its branches stretched up, up, almost touching the sky! "Maybe we can climb high!" she exclaimed.

Carefully, Iris began to climb. She held the little cloud close, moving slowly from one strong branch to the next. Higher and higher they went.

From the highest branch, they could see the big, fluffy clouds drifting far away. The little cloud puffed up, feeling a spark of hope!

But it was still too far. The little cloud let out a tiny, soft sigh. Iris knew they needed another idea. The sky was still so very high.
