Hala's Sunny Secret

Hala loved her classroom, especially the big sunny window. Today, Miss Sama had a special surprise! Hala bounced in her seat, her yellow boots tapping a happy rhythm. What could it be? She loved surprises more than anything.

Miss Sama, with her warm smile, held up a tiny packet. "These," she announced, "are magic seeds!" Hala's eyes sparkled. Magic? She imagined tiny fairies living inside, ready to pop out. This was going to be the best day!

Each child received a small pot and a seed. Hala imagined a giant sunflower, right away! "How long, Miss Sama?" she asked, bouncing slightly. She wanted to see her magic grow *now*.

Miss Sama chuckled softly. "Plants need time, Hala. And sunshine, water, and lots of love." She showed them how to gently press the seed into the soil, not too deep, not too shallow.

Hala carefully placed her tiny seed in the soil. She patted it gently. "Grow, grow, grow!" she whispered, already dreaming of a tall, bright stem reaching the sky. She couldn't wait for tomorrow!

The next morning, Hala rushed to her pot. Nothing! The soil looked exactly the same. She checked again the next day, and the next. "Still sleeping?" she wondered, a little disappointed.

She decided her seed needed more help. "Maybe extra water will wake it up!" she thought, pouring a little too much from her small watering can. The soil turned into a muddy puddle. Oops!

Miss Sama gently knelt beside Hala. "Too much water can make seeds sleepy forever, little one," she explained softly. "Just enough is perfect. They need to breathe, too."

Miss Sama showed a picture of roots growing underground. "First, the roots stretch deep, searching for food and drink. We can't see them working, but they are very busy!"

Hala sighed. Growing was harder than she thought. But she remembered Miss Sama's words: "Patience and love." She decided to try again, giving her seed just the right amount of water.

One sunny morning, a tiny green speck pushed through Hala's soil! "Look, Miss Sama! Look!" Hala shrieked with delight. Her seed was awake! It wasn't magic, but it felt like it.

Miss Sama smiled warmly. "That's a sprout, Hala! It's reaching for the sun, just like you reach for new ideas. It needs light to grow big and strong."

Every day, Hala carefully watered her sprout. She made sure it had enough sunshine. She even talked to it, telling it stories about her day, like a tiny green friend.
