Greta's Rooftop Garden

Greta lived in a tall, grey city. Buildings touched the sky! But Greta loved green. Her bright red boots always sought out tiny sprouts.

She dreamed of gardens, big and wild, with buzzing bees and juicy tomatoes. Her small window box was just not enough.

One sunny morning, Greta explored the dusty rooftop of her apartment building. It was flat and grey, full of forgotten things.

"Aha!" she thought, her eyes sparkling. "This could be a garden! A rooftop garden for everyone!"

Greta bounced downstairs, eager to tell her neighbors. "A garden! On the roof!" she exclaimed, full of hope.

Mr. Henderson sighed. "Too much work, dear," he grumbled. Mrs. Rodriguez just smiled tiredly, rocking her baby.

Greta felt a little sad, but her red boots were made for big adventures. She would start herself!

She searched for treasures: old tires, broken crates, even colorful buckets. Perfect pots for plants!

Up on the roof, Greta hummed as she filled her new pots with soil. Her small hands worked hard, scooping and patting.

She carefully planted tiny seeds, whispering secrets to them. "Grow big and strong, little friends!"

Days turned into weeks. Greta watered, weeded, and waited. The sun shone, and tiny green shoots appeared!

One afternoon, Leo, a boy from upstairs, peeked onto the roof. "What's that?" he asked, pointing curiously.

Greta showed him the tiny tomato plants. "Soon, we'll have juicy red ones!" she beamed. Leo's eyes widened.
