Finnian Frog was a tiny frog. He lived in a big, green pond.
Finnian had a giant dream. He wanted to leap far, far away!
The annual Lily Pad Leap was coming. Big frogs practiced their mighty jumps.
Finnian tried too. He pushed and pushed. *Boing!* He only made a little hop.
"I know!" Finnian chirped. He found two bouncy leaves.
He tied them to his feet. "Bouncy shoes!" he giggled.
Finnian took a big breath. He jumped! *Splat!* The leaves just slipped.
A wise old turtle named Barnaby watched. "Hello, little one," he slowly said.
"Your legs are strong inside," Barnaby whispered. "Make them even stronger."
Finnian practiced every day. He pushed his legs, up and down.
