Eddie and the Zippy Little Helper

Eddie the bear was a very large bear, but he felt very, very small. His big heart felt like a tiny, sad pebble.

His dear Bella, Daisy, and Lily had gone on a very, very long trip. Eddie missed their giggles and bear hugs.

He mostly just grumbled, munched on honey, and sighed big, rumbly sighs that shook the whole cave. *WHOOSH!*

The forest was full of fun and sunshine, but Eddie felt all alone, like a forgotten sock.

*ZIP!* A tiny flash of fur zoomed right into Eddie’s quiet cave! It was a speedy, squeaky surprise!

It was Marco the chipmunk, a whirlwind of wiggles and chitter-chatter. "Hello! You look sad! Let's play!"

Marco decided Eddie needed a friend, whether Eddie liked it or not! He was a very determined little chipmunk.

He even tried to share Eddie's giant honey pot. *SPLOOSH!* Marco was covered in sticky, sweet goo!

Marco loved collecting shiny things. And Eddie had many shiny things! He called them "sparkle-puffles."

One morning, Eddie woke up to find his favorite teacup missing. And his best berry-picking basket! *Hmmph?*

Then his sparkly button collection vanished! And his special napping pillow! Where could they all be?

Marco was gone! And so were almost ALL of Eddie's favorite treasures! Eddie let out a truly enormous sigh.

Eddie grumbled and rumbled. He searched for three whole days! "Where is that zippy little chipmunk?"
