Darius and the Humming Mountain

Darius, a little dragon with shimmering emerald scales, lived deep inside Humming Mountain. It wasn't a hot, fiery place, but a gentle volcano filled with magnificent, glowing crystals.

Darius loved music more than anything. Every crystal in Humming Mountain sang a unique, beautiful note, creating a symphony that filled his home with joy.

At the very heart of the mountain floated the grand Harmony Crystal. It was the purest, brightest crystal, guiding all the other beautiful sounds.

One sunny morning, Darius felt especially playful. He chased a shimmering dust mote, twirling and leaping with glee, his little wings fluttering fast.

"Oops!" he squeaked, as his playful tail accidentally brushed the Harmony Crystal. There was a tiny *clink*, and a delicate crack appeared on its surface.

Suddenly, the mountain's beautiful music turned sour. The crystals rumbled off-key, and the harmonious hum became a jarring, unhappy groan. Darius felt a pang of guilt.

Darius felt a heavy sadness in his heart. The mountain was unhappy because of him. Just then, Luna, a clever firefly, zipped into the cavern, her light pulsing.

"Oh dear, Darius!" Luna buzzed, her voice soft. "Humming Mountain sounds so grumpy! What happened to the Harmony Crystal?" Darius explained, his voice quiet.

Luna, with her keen eyes and bright light, carefully inspected the broken crystal. "It's fractured," she observed, "but perhaps not beyond repair. We need to fix it!"

Darius tried humming his sweetest tune, hoping it would magically mend the crystal. But the mountain still rumbled, its music still out of tune.

"Humming won't work," Luna buzzed. "The crystal needs more than just a song. It needs its inner glow restored. We must find a way to mend its energy."

Luna's antennae twitched. "Aha!" she exclaimed, her light shining on a tiny, perfect crystal shard nestled in a nearby crevice. "Look, Darius! A piece of pure resonance!"

This small shard pulsed with a soft, harmonious light, just like the Harmony Crystal used to. It was perfect! But how could they attach it?
