Barnaby the badger loved his flute more than anything.
He played gentle, sweet melodies, just for himself.
"The Woodland Talent Show is coming!" chirped Penelope the robin.
Barnaby’s tummy fluttered. Play for everyone? Oh dear!
Penelope landed beside him, her bow sparkling. "You play wonderfully!"
"Share your music, Barnaby," she encouraged. "It's so lovely!"
Finley the fox, who ran the show, saw Barnaby practicing.
"Music shared is music doubled," Finley said with a gentle smile.
Barnaby practiced and practiced. His notes danced in the air.
Still, his heart thumped like a drum before the big night.
