Anya, with bright red hair and big blue glasses, loved Grandpa Joe’s workshop. It was her favorite place to explore.
Gears, springs, and blinking lights filled every corner. Tools hung on walls like shiny metal flowers.
Half-finished inventions sat everywhere, waiting for Grandpa Joe’s clever hands to make them whir and buzz.
Today, Grandpa Joe had a special surprise! "Meet Sparky," he announced, holding a shiny robot dog.
Sparky had bright blue eyes and a springy tail. He was made of polished silver and brass, ready for adventures.
Sparky barked a happy "Woof!" and wagged his springy tail. Anya giggled. He was perfect!
But then, Sparky made a funny sound. "Bloop-bloop-woof-zing!" His blue eyes blinked strangely.
He tried to bark again, "Whizzle-pop-doo-dah!" His springy tail drooped. Something was wrong.
Grandpa Joe scratched his head. "Oh dear, Sparky's wires must be tangled!" Sparky sat still, silent.
Anya knelt down. She carefully observed Sparky. His blue eyes were dim. His tail was limp.
"Look, Grandpa!" she said. "A little red wire on his leg is loose. And his speaker wiggles!"
Anya remembered Grandpa always checked connections first. "Maybe the wire makes his barks silly?"
She found a tiny screwdriver, just like Grandpa used. She knew she had to be very gentle.
Very carefully, Anya tightened the tiny screw holding the red wire. Her tongue poked out a little.
